What we do

Preserving Memory

One of our core missions is to ensure that the memory of the genocide and its victims is never forgotten. We organize memorial events, both in the U.S. and globally, to honor those who were lost. These events serve as powerful reminders of the past and reinforce the importance of collective memory in preventing future atrocities. We believe that by keeping the stories of survivors and victims alive, we create a legacy that fosters reflection and understanding across generations.

Safe Space and Community Support for Survivors

Supporting Survivors

Ibuka USA strive to provide much-needed support for genocide survivors, many of whom continue to face emotional, psychological, and financial challenges. As new organization, we are gathering resources to offer access to resources for mental health counseling, financial aid, and community building.

Our goal is to create a strong network of survivors who can support each other while also connecting them to the broader community of allies and advocates. We stand in solidarity with survivors worldwide, amplifying their voices and ensuring their stories are heard.

A world free of genocide—a future of peaceful, fearless, and inclusive communities.

Education for Prevention

We facilitate research and collaborate with universities and media companies to create impactful educational resources—such as films and teaching materials—that foster awareness and understanding. By sharing survivors’ testimonies, we strive to prevent future genocides and ensure the horrors of the past are neither forgotten nor repeated.
